What is Ligandrol or LGD 4033? Side Effects

Ligandrol, a type of product used to achieve increases in muscle mass without having to consume steroids. These products have the characteristic that they act only where there is interest in this action taking place, for example, in the muscles, without affecting other parts of the body where they could cause problems.

In the case of using steroids these problems appear in the prostate, liver, testicles …

The Ligandrol or LGD 4033 is an MRSA (Selective Modulator of Androgenic Receptors) that can offer similar results to those offered by testosterone, but without affecting the prostate or sebaceous glands. It is said to be the most potent of all available MRSAs.

The LGD 4033 was created with the medical purpose of treating severe losses of muscle mass resulting from certain diseases without having to suffer some of the possible side effects that can be given when using conventional drugs, since those used in these cases contain steroids.

It should be used in the same way as traditional steroids, that is to say, it has to be cycled and it is usual to do it for 6 – 12 weeks, during which, carrying out a correct training and diet, muscle gains of between 3 and 5 kilos can be obtained.

Doubts that may arise when using the Ligandrol

Ligandrol should not be taken continuously, as has been said before should be cycled and respect a period of at least 5 weeks between each cycle.

The doses that are usually taken will vary and, logically, they will be greater the greater the muscular gain that we wish to obtain, but we must bear in mind that the higher the dose, the greater the possibility of suffering some secondary effect.

A low dose would be 1 mg a day, an average dose would be 5 mg a day and a high dose ranges between 8 and 10 mg a day. This product, despite being oral (tablets) is not a methylated compound, therefore will not cause liver toxicity problems, which occurs with most oral steroids such as Anadrol or Winstrol oral.

At the time of taking it there is not an established suitable moment since it has a long time of action in the organism that goes from 24 to 36 hours, therefore it will have to be taken when it is more comfortable.

It does not matter if it is done on an empty stomach or not. One of the advantages of Ligandrol and the rest of MRSAs is that, in reasonable doses, it does not increase the number of estrogens in the male body and therefore avoids the dreaded aromatization, which is responsible for the appearance of gynecomastia or excessive fluid retention among other problems.

It also eliminates problems related to increased blood pressure.

Side effects of Ligandrol

Although the vast majority of side effects that appear when using steroids disappear with the use of MRSAs, there are still some, especially when the doses used are high or the cycle is very long, in these cases there may be a temporary reduction in the natural production of endogenous testosterone and it is usual that after one or two weeks these levels are restored.

To avoid this effect can be used, at the end of the cycle, substances such as toremifen or raloxifene to prevent this fall in the production of natural testosterone.

Despite being a much safer product than steroids, MRSAs should not be used lightly, the indications should always be followed and never exceed the recommended dose, since in that case, possible side effects, although few, can be magnified.
